It starts...
And so begins a new chapter (and hopefully a new blog.)
I have never been one for constant updates, and if you begin following me, I apologize for any failure to update in a timely manner.
As the title states, this will be a place for my ramblings, my musings, and any other idea that tends to pop into my head. Much of this will probably be about video games, and God, and my faith, so if you tend to avoid things like that, this is not really the blog for you. However, if you enjoy reading random musings, this will hopefully satisfy that craving.
What I have been most recently contemplating is the frailty of life and just the incredible amount of gifts that each person is given by God.
Let me explain: Over the last few months I had quite a few near-death experiences. Most of them involved medical issues (which might be explained later) but there were a few "let's see what happens when we do this" types of experiences.
Needless to say, the only reason I count myself able to live is because of the grace of God. And I don't intend to take that grace lightly. Every day I find myself thanking God for the little gifts that he has given me.
Gifts such as a single breath when I wake up in the morning, or reunititng with friends with whom I haven't seen in a long while, or even for family (even though they sometimes drive me a little crazy). It's little things like this that jump out at me now. And it makes me realize how much for granted we as humans take life. In an instant our lives can dissapear like a cloud of smoke.
I have found new joy in life. A joy that cannot be replaced by anything superficial. A joy that cannot be destroyed. And a joy that I want to share with others.
So when you wake up in the morning thank God that you have another day on this earth. Enjoy the moment, because you never know when it will end.
