So recently I have seen an upswing in "geeky" t-shirts around various clothing stores like Target and Kohl's. However these t-shirts are mass produced, and while some of them are pretty cool, most of them are pretty generic in their depiction of the geek world. Like a picture of Mario running across a landscape inhabited by goombas that seems to be taken right out of Super Mario 3D Land. I would rather have something a bit more original.
Something that stands out and says "I'm a gamer and I'm proud of what I play." Something that screams "while most of the world tends to lean toward the generic, I am so far into my gaming that I choose something else." Something that says "I'm me, and I'm defined by my gaming." Something that screams pure awesomeness when it is worn. Something along the lines of what Ript Apparel has every day.
RiptApparel.com has a daily t-shirt that they offer for just $10, and while it can be very hit and miss with the t-shirts, there have been some of the coolest geeky t-shirts that I have ever seen. Here's a smattering of the ones that I have bought since I discovered this site:
| Calvin & Hobbes meets Spider-Man... Awesome |
| Can you get more epic than this? |
| The galaxy's two greatest bounty hunters... as one. |
| ZIIIIIIIIIIMMMMMM! |
| The Blue Ocarina: Forever Known as the Ocarina of Time. |
And this is just a small smattering of what they have had available through the last few months. Every day there is a new t-shirt that is only available for 24 hours at the $10 price. And unlike other shirt companies *cough cough $6 t-shirts.com cough cough* there isn't an exorbitant price for shipping. Total for the shirt (including shipping) only comes out to $12.93.
Needless to say, there have been quite a few t-shirts that I have bought from riptapparel.com, but they won't be the last ones that I buy. Ript continues to impress me with their variety in their t-shirt design and I look forward to what they might come up with next.
