Reality Sets In
I am approximately halfway through this semester and have come to the realization that in less than 8 months I will be graduated and out in the real world. It's kind of a startling revelation to say the least. A revelation that I will no longer be in school and have to find my own way in the world.
It's a bittersweet feeling to say the least. I had an opportunity over the summer to experience what it would be like to have a full-time job. It was nice to work 8-4 and not have to worry about anything else outside of my workspace. Well, besides Wednesday night service, Thursday night practice, and Sunday morning service. But I digress. What was nice was the fact that I never had to worry about having homework done by a certain date or time. I had set tasks given to me throughout the day to finish, and if they were easy enough, I was often able to get through 5 or 6 of them a day.
It shall be nice to get rid of the daily requirements of homework. To escape the burden of daily work outside of my allotment of time given to work, shall be a welcome blessing. However, I shall miss the community and feeling of being in the college setting. There is definitely nothing like it.
